A Celebration of Photography and Passion As a photographer and the founder of Pictury Photo Tours, I have always strived to capture the essence of Portugal’s beauty through my lens. Photography is more than just an art form to me—it is a way of seeing, feeling, and sharing unique moments with the world. Today, I am thrilled to share some exciting news: I have been awarded the title of Awarded Photographer by 1x.com, one of the most prestigious online photography galleries in the world. Receiving this recognition from 1x is an incredible honor. Known for its rigorous curation process and exceptionally high standards, 1x only selects the finest images from thousands of submissions. Every photograph accepted into their gallery undergoes a meticulous review by professional curators, making it a truly special achievement for any photographer. To have my work acknowledged at this level is both humbling and deeply rewarding. The winning photograph that earned this distinction is one that holds a special place in my heart. We can say that the story behind this photo was very much responsible for the creation of Pictury's project. Ten years ago, renowned photographer Trey Ratcliff created something truly innovative, perhaps the first online photography teaching platform with direct interaction between masters and students from all over the world. I signed up and was lucky enough to belong to a group of 20 apprentices from multiple countries, guided by an American master photographer called Trace Aiken. It was he who, after many lessons, challenged me to go out into the streets of my city and take the best pictures I could. And that's how this photo was born. After that, he was the one who encouraged (and helped) me to go ahead with this project. I'll be eternally grateful to him. This image represents not
